Pantry Delivery Partner Disclaimer & Mileage Information
We are truly grateful for our delivery partners who generously give their time to help ensure food boxes reach those in our community who need them. Your support makes a meaningful difference, and we appreciate everything you do!
As a delivery partner, please use reasonable care when picking up and delivering food boxes. While we do our best to ensure every delivery goes smoothly, the Pantry cannot be responsible for accidents, injuries, vehicle damage, property damage, or other unexpected issues that may occur while you are making a delivery. By participating as a delivery partner, you understand that you are responsible for your own safety and for following all applicable traffic and safety laws.
Mileage Deduction
As an independent delivery partner, you may be able to claim mileage as a deduction on your personal tax return. The current standard business mileage rate is $0.14 per mile for deliveries made on behalf of the Pantry.
Please keep accurate records of your delivery mileage, including the date, starting point, destination, and total miles driven. Tax rules can change, and eligibility for deductions depends on your individual circumstances, so we encourage you to consult a qualified tax professional for advice regarding your specific situation.
